The Feeding of the Multitude 2024

The 17th Annual Feeding of the Multitude will be held at Berkeley Electric Cooperative, 1135 Main Rd, Johns Island.  This facility, with larger grounds and exit to a back road, will provide improved traffic flow on Main Rd.   We are grateful to Berkeley Electric for providing the site free of charge.  Over 25 churches come together each year to serve people who have financial challenges.  Our goal is that every family on Johns and Wadmalaw Islands will have a Thanksgiving meal, and each person will feel the love and joy of Jesus Christ.

Once again, it will be a Drive-Thru Event with a goal of giving away over 1600 grocery bags that will provide ingredients for a Thanksgiving meal for a family of 4.  We will also give each family a $20 Food Lion gift certificate, children’s coloring books/crayons and free pet food.  In addition, we will provide prepared meals, which will be delivered to home-bound families, by church teams. 

We also will offer prayer through a call-in prayer line, live-stream prayer for 3 hours on the St. John’s Facebook page, and prayer on site.  We will again have our prayer chain, which is made up of prayers from members of all the congregations.

We are welcoming volunteers to help with the event and provide bags of non-perishable food. Please see the attached flyer which lists the food items to purchase as well as ways to contribute. Most important, we need your prayers that we will have good weather, a successful event, and that we are instruments in helping our Lord grow His Kingdom that day.
