Prayer Shawl Ministry
St. John's Prayer Shawl Ministry, which began in the fall of 2013, is composed of a diverse group of creative women - novice to accomplished - with a passion for prayer and a deep concern for the welfare of others. Shawls are lovingly knitted or crocheted and given as tangible evidence of God's love and His desire for the comfort of each recipient. Recipients may be parish members or relatives or friends of parish members, or simply those made known to anyone at St. John's. Recipients may be struggling with a serious illness, facing a difficult surgery and recovery, homebound, transitioning to hospice care or other similar situation. Members meet the first Saturday of each month at 10:45am in the PLB for a dedicated time of stitching, praying and exchanging ideas. For more information, to join or to make a referral, please contact either Polly Sosnowski or Susan Neville
