Save the Date: October 3, 2020

Dear St. of St. John's,

Because of your generous giving, we have been blessed to remain faithful to the commitments we made to give to the needs of our local community and the world.

These commitments include: locally, Our Lady of Mercy, The Anglican Diocese of SC, St. Aidan's, Camp St. Christopher, The Low Country Pregnancy Center & Mary Ann Point Road. Our global commitments are to Northern Uganda, the Children's Scholarships of Northern Uganda and Peru.

Thank you all!

For Persecuted Churches - Sri Lanka

We pray for persecuted churches around the world.
For the month of July we pray for the nation of Sri Lanka.

Heavenly Father, in your great goodness, we ask for protection and provision for Christians in Sri Lanka. In a nation where Christians are subject to religious nationalism as well as food shortages due to Covid-19, we ask for your mercy. Grant to the faithful your wisdom and by the power of the Holy Spirit may your presence reign.
Lord, in your mercy. Hear our prayer.

Prayers for Healing

May we who are merely inconvenienced

Remember those whose lives are at stake.

May we who have no risk factors

Remember those most vulnerable.

May we who have the luxury of working from home

Remember those who must choose between preserving their health or making their rent.

May we who have the flexibility to care for our children when their schools close

Remember those who have no options.

May we who have to cancel our trips

Remember those that have no safe place to go.

May we who are losing our margin money in the tumult of the economic market

Remember those who have no margin at all.

May we who settle in for a quarantine at home

Remember those who have no home.

As fear grips our country,

let us choose love.

During this time when we cannot physically wrap our arms around each other,

Let us yet find ways to be the loving embrace of God to our neighbors.

Increase, O God, the spirit of neighborliness among us,
that in peril we may uphold one another,
in suffering tend to one another,
and in homelessness, loneliness, or exile befriend one another.
Grant us brave and enduring hearts that we may strengthen
one another,
until the disciplines and testing of these days are ended,
and you again give peace in our time;
through Jesus Christ our Lord.
