Collects
Sunday, Jan. 31
O God, you know that we are set in the midst of many grave dangers, and because of the frailty of our nature we cannot always stand upright: Grant that your strength and protection may support us in all dangers and carry us through every temptation; through Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen.

For Persecuted Churches
We pray for persecuted churches around the world. For the month of January we pray for the nation of Somalia. Heavenly Father, Christians and Christian churches in Somalia are suffering due to violence, extreme Islamic persecution, and civil war. We lift them up in your Holy Name, asking for your mercy to surround them. We pray for the Christian churches in Somalia to persevere through the power of the Holy Spirit.
Lord, in your mercy: Hear our prayer.
