Disaster Preparedness Training
This is an opportunity for your Church to shine Christ’s love, share the gospel and be a good neighbor. St. John’s Parish Church John’s Island SC and Servant’s Heart Disaster Relief invite members of the community for a training session on how to create an Emergency Response Team at your church. After a disaster when our neighbors are hurting, we should be ready to be a community center. Join us on Saturday July 10 9 a.m.-12 p.m. (EST). Register for Online access to the Zoom Meeting below.
The training will include:
- Why create an Emergency Response Team
- Why it is so important to be prepared and types of emergencies: hurricanes, tornados, flooding
- How to respond to disasters with demonstrations on first aid, automated external defibrillators (AED's), fire extinguishers, and Security needs
- Customize an Emergency Plan for your church
- Provide details of available resources, training and support
God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble. Therefore we will not fear, though the earth give way and the mountains fall into the heart of the sea. Psalm 46:1-2
My command is this: Love each other as I have loved you. Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one’s life for one’s friends. John 15:12-13
