Children's Sunday School Starts Sep 19

Starting THIS SUNDAY! We are very excited to start Sunday morning children's education again. Children's Sunday school is for all elementary aged children and will run during the 9am service lasting for approximately 40 minutes. Children will start the service sitting with their parents, and they will process out just before the reading of the first lesson.

In class, children will learn Bible stories, start to memorize scripture, make fun crafts, and learn about elements of our corporate worship before retiring to their parents during the peace.

Kids Club

We are so excited to add this element to our children's education that runs each Sunday afternoon. Kids Club meets from 3 to 4pm and is for children in 3rd through 5th grade. Kids club kids are currently baking through the Bible.

Youth Groups

Middle School youth group meets from 4:04 to 5:04 and is also doing a Bible overview. The High School youth group meets from 5:05 to 6:06 and is studying the letters to the churches in the book of Revelation.

Adult Sunday School

Adult Sunday School online at 11 am. This Sunday we are studying 1st Samuel. Contact Walt Miller for online instructions.

Haut Gap News

The special education teacher at Haut Gap runs a little in-class store and the students can earn "good behavior bucks" to purchase items. It is a great system to help them learn and maintain appropriate behavior. She stocks the store from her own pocket so it would be nice if we could help her out a little. If you are interested in providing her with little snacks and pencils, hair bands, stickers, etc. please contact Peggy Gervais, Sally Frazier or Walt Miller. We will put your name on a buyers list so when she has a request we can let you know what items she needs. Thanks for supporting "our" school!

At St. John's

September 19
O Lord, you have taught us that without love, all our deeds are worth nothing: Send your Holy Spirit and pour into our hearts that most excellent gift of charity, the true bond of peace and of all virtues, without which whoever lives is counted dead before you; grant this for the sake of your Son Jesus Christ, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen

For Persecuted Churches

We pray for persecuted churches around the world. For the month of September we pray for the nation of Cameroon. Heavenly Father, Christians and Christian churches in Cameroon are suffering due to violent persecution from extremist group Boko Haram, and governmental instability. Please provide security, provision, and peace, through the power and presence of your Holy Spirit. Lord, in your mercy. Hear our prayer.
