Nov 1 Update
Just a reminder that shoeboxes are due back on Sunday, November 13. Please bring them to the 10am worship service. They may be returned as early as this Sunday, November 6. Please do NOT seal your box!
Also, don’t forget that there is a $10 shipping fee per box. Checks may be mailed to Samaritan’s Purse using the envelope in the brochure or you may pay online. Also, you can register your box online so that you will eventually be notified of the country to which your box was sent! See your brochure for details.
You may still go online and pack a box OR you may wrap a shoebox or buy a plastic box the size of a tennis shoe box and pack it with goodies.
Thanks for participating in this exciting global ministry! Please pray for the children receiving the boxes - that they will be open to the gospel message shared with them through the Greatest Journey discipleship program and that their families will come to know Jesus too!

Oct 13 2022
We have a wonderful opportunity to once again share the hope of Jesus Christ this Christmas with children all over the world and it begins with prayer and a shoebox of goodies! St. John's Parish will be participating in Operation Christmas Child through Samaritan’s Purse. Children, even in remote countries, will not only receive a shoebox of goodies but will be given the opportunity to learn from Christians in their country about Jesus Christ. This is such a great opportunity for families and a splendid way for us all to be involved in international ministry at Christmas. This year, in addition to your packing a box, we encourage you invite your neighbors, co-workers or other family members to pack one too!
St. John’s has ordered 150 cardboard boxes to pass out this coming Sunday, October 16. If we have any left over, we will have them available the following Sunday. With each box, you will receive a pamphlet that will detail the cost of shipping each box ($10 this year) plus wonderful information about what to pack in the box and what NOT to pack (reminder: no candy of any type, no gum and no liquids). You can use the trackable label so that your family can learn where the recipient of your box lives! So much fun for young children!
We will begin collecting filled boxes on Sunday, November 6 and will end on Sunday, November 13. The boxes will be taken to a collection center the next day. Questions, contact Libby Puckette. Thank you, in advance, for helping share the Gospel.
