Jesus bags were delivered to the Charleston County Juvenile Detention Center for distribution on Christmas day. The 50 bags were full of much needed toiletries, snacks and handwritten cards collected from the parish. This year there were enough cards to provide ten per bag! Major Harris (pictured front left) extends her gratitude for all that St. John’s Parish Church does for the youth. A special thank you to all the card writers and those who donated supplies. Please continue prayers for the youth that they will come to know Jesus.  

2025 Offering Envelopes

Offering envelopes will be available to pick up at Haut Gap this Sunday for anyone who indicated they would like them on their pledge form. If you don't see yours or didn't indicate you wanted envelopes on your pledge form but would still like some, please contact Sally Dixon.

Ministry Reports

As we come to the end of another year, it's time for us to turn in our Ministry Reports for our annual meeting. Ministry leaders, this is an opportunity to share with everyone in the congregation what you and your ministry have been doing this year. Please turn your report in to Sally Dixon as a Microsoft Word document no later than January 15th.

Vestry Nominations

Is God calling you to serve? Or is there someone else He's put on your heart to ask? Prayerfully consider who God is calling to serve on vestry this next year. We have four vestry members rotating off and need replacements. Fill out the vestry nomination form and send it to Sally Dixon no later than January 15th. Please be sure to ask someone before submitting their name as a nomination.

Parish Office Closed

The Parish office is closed through January 5th in observance of Christmas and New Year's Day. Regular office hours will resume January 6th.

The 2025 Christian Men’s Conference will be held at Lutheridge Camp & Conference Center, a 160-acre wooded retreat center in Arden, NC. We are thrilled to have Todd Fields returning as our Praise Leader, and Shay Gaillard will serve as our Chaplain for the weekend. Click here for more info about this year's conference.

Sign up to assist our nursery and Sunday school classes. They're lots of fun and all the materials are prepared for you ahead of time. All you need to do is show up and have fun with the kids.

Blessing Baskets distributes about 400 government boxes of staples to people on the sea islands, which come prepackaged with addresses. In addition to those boxes, Blessing Baskets packs perishable foods in bags to supplement the boxes and to give to people not eligible for government assistance. This is where we need help. Packing these bags is a huge undertaking from gathering, sorting, and packing the food into bags and its distribution. For more information, please contact Walt Miller or Heath Gunther.
