Annual MeetingMark your calendars for our Annual Meeting on Sunday, January 26th. Our worship service will start an hour earlier at 9AM, and the meeting will immediately follow. During the meeting, we will elect four new vestry members and elect delegates to attend the diocesan convention. We will also discuss what 2025 will look like for St John's Parish Church. Vestry NominationsSo far, we have three nominations for the vestry: Debbie Hawkins, Jeff Lamberson and Debbie Reynolds. We still need at least one more, so please prayerfully consider who God is calling to serve on vestry this next year. Fill out the vestry nomination form and send it and a short bio to Sally Dixon as soon as possible. Please be sure to ask those you'd like to nominate before submitting their name as a nomination. Celebrating the Ministry of Ann Irvin
We would like to recognize Ann Irvin, a long-time member of St. John's Parish Church. She currently serves as the president of The Daughters of the Holy Cross chapter for our parish and is a member of the building committee. With her cheerful and encouraging attitude, she brings life to the many small groups she takes part in. We are truly blessed to have Ann as a member of St. John's Parish Church. |
Prayer Shawl Ministry
The Prayer Shawl Ministry provides hand-crafted shawls to give comfort and warmth to those experiencing illness, sorrow, need, or distress. We also provide baby blankets to celebrate the newly baptized. Makers pray as they create the shawls and blankets which are then blessed by our clergy. |

A Prayer for our Parish
Dear Heavenly Father, Together we are united with the saints of the household of God; built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, with Jesus Christ himself being the cornerstone. In Christ alone our church is being joined together, and is growing into a holy temple of the Lord by the Spirit. By Your wisdom may we discern what You want us to build; Through Jesus Christ our Lord and the power of the Holy Spirit, Amen. |
