Youth Group will kick off this Sunday, August 23. 6th - 12th grade students are invited to join us Sundays at 2PM in Resurrection Hall for a time of bible study and fellowship so we may grow in our relationship with the Lord.

Each semester, as part of our domestic outreach, St. John's Parish Church has the honor of providing a dinner meal for The Citadel Cadets at St. Alban's Chapel.

How you can get involved:

Make a dinner dish or dessert. We will serve barbecue, along with sides of macaroni & cheese, green beans, coleslaw, rolls and dessert, or help serve at St. Alban's on Monday, August 31.

Our GriefShare group will start a new session Tuesday, September 15, at 6:30-8:00PM in the library at Resurrection Hall. If you are interested in participating or for more information, please contact Robin LaRoche.

No matter your previous experience with confirmation, all are welcome to prayerfully consider being a part of this “catechesis” group. We will review the Creeds, the Lord's Prayer and the Ten Commandments within the context of scripture and the Anglican tradition. Our plan is to begin October 4. Do you love the Lord, like to laugh and want to praise His name? The choir just kicked off after our summer break, so now is a fantastic time to join. Practice is on Wednesdays from 6:00-6:45PM, and we expect to sing during Sunday worship about once a month. If you're interested in joining the choir, contact Sally Dixon: sdixon@stjohnsparish.net.

The mission trip to Peru is November 20-26. If you have any interest in participating in this trip please complete the application below and submit by September 1. Did your child attend Camp Jubilee this Summer? We're putting together a short video for campers to share their experience with St John's Parish Church. We're looking for campers of all ages to participate. If your child has a story to share, please contact Fr. Jeremy: frjeremy@stjohnsparish.net.

Ladies, come join the Islands Community Bible Study as they kick off their next study with a luncheon and guest speaker. We will meet at 9:30AM in Resurrection Hall.

We would like to thank Neal for his faithful service as a lay reader and Eucharistic minister. He beautifully reads the Scripture, especially during Easter and Christmas, and brings the Word to life, enriching our worship. Thank you Neal. We are grateful for your generosity, dedication, and servant-hearted spirit.

Summer Sunday School is in full swing! Children in grades 1-5 are enjoying a relaxed summer schedule featuring movies, popcorn and lively discussion. The short films highlight the stories of the Old Testament leaders and prophets. Our youngest children, ages 3-5, are also exploring the lives of Old Testament leaders and prophets through interactive play, music, felt-board storytelling and simple crafts design just for them. While the pace for summer may be a little more relaxed, our mission remains the same: nurturing young hearts and minds in the knowledge and love of God’s only Son, our Lord and Savior, Christ Jesus. 

We meet every 2nd Saturday of the month at 8am at Resurrection Hall, beginning with breakfast and fellowship at 8am, then from 9 to 12, we work on decks, wheelchair ramps or minor home repairs. You don’t need to bring any tools, but feel free to bring your favorite hammer or cordless drill. Contact Stephen Haynsworth for more information or to be added to the text group for this ministry.
