What's Happening in Our Children's Ministry
Summer Sunday School is in full swing! Children in grades 1-5 are enjoying a relaxed summer schedule featuring movies, popcorn and lively discussion. The short films highlight the stories of the Old Testament leaders and prophets. Our youngest children, ages 3-5, are also exploring the lives of Old Testament leaders and prophets through interactive play, music, felt-board storytelling and simple crafts design just for them. While the pace for summer may be a little more relaxed, our mission remains the same: nurturing young hearts and minds in the knowledge and love of God’s only Son, our Lord and Savior, Christ Jesus. Grandparents at Prayer
On the 3rd Sunday of every month, all grandparents are invited to gather at Resurrection Hall, for an hour, from 12:00 to 1:00 to lift up our Grandchildren in prayer. Fr. John Sosnowski and his wife Patti will briefly introduce this time, and will occasionally introduce books and other tools to help us pass on the legacy of our faith to our children's children. We will have opportunities to share prayer needs, concerning our grands, but the majority of the time will be devoted to prayer. Join us for G@P! One hour per month, on the 3rd Sunday, from 12:00 to 1:00. Come and see what God will do. |

A Prayer for our Nation
Almighty God, who hast given us this good land for our heritage: Bless our land and people with honor, integrity, and good conduct. Save us from violence, discord, and confusion; from pride and arrogance, and from every evil way. Endue with the spirit of wisdom those to whom, in thy Name, we entrust the authority of government, that there be justice and peace for all citizens. Fill our hearts with thankfulness and grant us grace to put our trust in Christ alone; all of this we ask through our Savior Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen. (Adapted from the Prayer for Our Nation, Book of Common Prayer p. 657).

A Prayer for our Parish
Dear Heavenly Father, Together we are united with the saints of the household of God; built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, with Jesus Christ himself being the cornerstone. In Christ alone our church is being joined together, and is growing into a holy temple of the Lord by the Spirit. By Your wisdom may we discern what You want us to build; Through Jesus Christ our Lord and the power of the Holy Spirit, Amen. |
