Easter Collection for Charleston County Youth Detention Center
We are collecting specific items for Easter gift bags to give to the youth at the Charleston County Youth Detention Center. Please see the attached list for the items that we need. We are also asking for Easter cards. The youth so appreciate a handwritten note of encouragement. We hope to be able to put a number of cards in each bag. Please pray for these youth that they would feel the love of Jesus through this gift bag and that hearts would turn to Him.

Global Mission Oyster Roast Fundraiser
Thank you to eveyone who came out to the Global Mission Oyster Roast last Saturday. In addition to having a great time of fellowship, we raised funds to pay for more than 50 scholarships for the children of Ugandan clergy and are still graciously receiving donations. A special thank you to John & Curry Smoak who offered a space for us to use, to the Mission Committee who organized the event, to Richard Baldwin for providing the oysters and to Stan LaRoche who with Richard cooked the oysters, to Andy Normal and his musician friends who provided music, to Rob Schluter who grilled the hot dogs, and to eveyone else who helped bring this event together. The prayers of the saints have sustained us through both physical and spiritual times of warfare. A Prayer for our Parish
Dear Heavenly Father, Together we are united with the saints of the household of God; built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, with Jesus Christ himself being the cornerstone. In Christ alone our church is being joined together, and is growing into a holy temple of the Lord by the Spirit. By Your wisdom may we discern what You want us to build; Through Jesus Christ our Lord and the power of the Holy Spirit, Amen. |
