Sally began playing piano in the 4th grade, and in the 8th grade, she became a 5th generation organist. Music has always been a major part of her life, and it shows every Sunday morning as she leads worship. She majored in business and accounting in college, and prior to moving to Charleston in 1981, she became a Certified Professional Secretary (CPS), today known as Certified Administrative Professional (CAP).
In 1991, Sally was hired as the Director of Music/Organist and Choir Director for St John's Parish Church. She later also took on the mantle of Parish Administrator in 2021. She is active with Daughters of the Holy Cross (DHC), not only at church but at the Diocesan and Provincial levels too. Outside of church, she is president and owner of The Balancing Act, Inc., a firm she started in 1983, specializing in income tax. In it and her job at St John's Parish Church, she continues to glorify the Lord in all she does.
