The Rev'd. Jeremy Shelton
Rector
Fr. Jeremy was called to St. John's Parish Church in 2018 to serve as Curate. He later became Associate Rector, and in July 2022 was called to be Rector -- the same month our congregation moved away from historic buildings and grounds and into temporary tabernacling. He is joined together in mission and ministry with his wife, Jessica and sons, Will, Ben, and Hayes.
Fr. Jeremy holds an MDiv from Trinity School for Ministry and did his undergraduate studies in Sociology and History at Southern Wesleyan University and Thomas More College, respectively.
He is involved with missions both locally and internationally. Locally with Haut Gap Middle School, The Citadel, Charleston County Juvenile Detention Center, and more; and internationally in Lima, Peru.
Fr. Jeremy's calling to St. John's Parish Church includes pastoral care, family ministry, local and international missions, teaching, preaching, study, and liturgy.
In his spare time Fr. Jeremy enjoys family time, baseball with his sons, playing with his yellow lab Molly, all things outdoors, reading, and travel.
