The Building Fund

We have a fund dedicated for the development of our new property. Any donations toward it may be made directly to St. John’s Parish Church with “Building Fund” in the memo line or by giving online and selecting "Building Fund".

We also have a handful of active fundraisers helping to raise funds for the new property. Take a look below for more information on each one.

T-shirt Fundraiser

Beginning this Sunday, December 17, we will be taking orders for a new t-shirt fundraiser for the Building Fund.  Written on the front of the T-shirts will be

"St. John's Parish Church"

and on the back

"Building Through God's Faithfulness
Brick by Brick
on Johns Island

Psalm 127:1"

Suggested minimum donation $30 per shirt. All proceeds go directly to the Building Fund and the development of Church Place (our newly acquired land on Main Rd.). See Mary LaRoche on Sunday mornings to get a shirt ordered for you.

As of December 31, $675 has been contributed to the building fund through this fundraiser.

100% of the proceeds go to the building fund.

The Place We Called Home Fundraiser

Pam Hanckel compiled a book of beautiful pictures of our old property. It will be the kickoff for a fundraiser for the new building since — praise God — the land is paid for. This is a wonderful memory, including our journey from the old property to Haut Gap and the blessing of the new land of our forefathers.  The book is mainly pictures and verses. The pictures were taken in a span of about 30 years. Several miracles happened while she was putting the book together: being led to take pictures for so many years, taking a picture of our lay readers Bible which was opened to Proverbs 30:5-6 which alludes to our reason for leaving, and the inability for her to order until God had truly finished with it. Be sure to ask her about it.

The books are available before and after Sunday service at Haut Gap or at Ressurection Hall during the week with a minimum donation of $50, though you may donate more if you feel so led. Envelopes are available which you can take when picking up a book and put the donation in the offering plate. You can also give online via the website or app. When giving online make sure to select "Building Fund" and put "Book" in the memo line.

As of December 31, $6,730 has been contributed to the building fund through this fundraiser.

100% of the proceeds go to the building fund.

Cross Fundraiser

Jay Withington has handcrafted and donated a limited number of crosses which are replicas of our altar cross. They are available for a donation toward the building fund. Get yours on Sunday or during the week at Resurrection Hall.

As of December 31, $10,580 has been contributed to the building fund through this fundraiser.

100% of the proceeds go to the building fund.
