Join us for a time of fellowship as we fold Palm Crosses for Palm Sunday. We will meet at 10AM in Resurrection Hall. No experience needed.

St. John’s Parish Church is once again collecting Easter cards and items to create Jesus bags for the youth at the Charleston County Youth Detention Center. Click the button below for the complete list of items we are collecting, and please pray the Holy Spirit would point these youths to Christ through this ministry.

This Sunday, April 13, is the last day to drop off items. Look for the donation boxes in the Connections Corridor. For more information, contact Chrissy Binz or Libby Puckette.

Join us this Holy Tuesday for an interactive service geared for families. We will look at the full scope of Holy Week with activities on foot washing, communion and the cross. Dinner will be provided.

Join us on Maundy Thursday for our noon contemplative service or at 7PM for our service with music, choir and the stripping of the altar. Both services will be held in Resurrection Hall.

Then join us at 10AM at Haut Gap Middle School as we celebrate the Resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead at our Easter Principal Service, which will have the Flowering of the Cross, a Choral Procession and Holy Eucharist.

Don't forget to keep praying for your lenten prayer partner. Consider sending them a card in the mail and be ready to reveal to them that you are their partner on Easter Sunday.

Ladies, grab your lunch and drive over to Resurrection Hall after Sunday worship for a time of fellowship.

We will meet for about an hour on the first Sunday of the month. This is an opportunity to enjoy the company of our sisters in Christ and get to know each other better.

Sign up to assist our nursery and Sunday school classes. They're loads of fun and all the materials are prepared for you ahead of time. All you need to do is show up and have fun with the kids.

Ben Dixon has previously served on the vestry and was the Senior Warden during the difficult transition from our old property. We are all grateful for his leadership during that time, and we continue to be grateful to him as he is so active in ministry at St John's, especially for being the coordinator of our ministry to St Alban's Chapel at The Citadel. Thank you, Ben, for blessing the cadets and giving our parish an opportunity to minister to them. 

The Lay Readers serve during our Sunday service as well as any other worship services we have throughout the year. Most Sundays we have two Lay Readers to read the lessons and psalm as well as lead us in the Prayers of the People. This ministry often goes hand in hand with being a Eucharistic minister to help with communion; however this is not always the case. For more information or if you are interested in becoming a Lay Reader, contact Sally Dixon.
