St. John’s Parish Church Blesses Juveniles with 50 Jesus Bags
Jesus bags were delivered to the Charleston County Juvenile Detention Center for distribution on Christmas day. The 50 bags were full of much needed toiletries, snacks and handwritten cards collected from the parish. This year there were enough cards to provide ten per bag! Major Harris (pictured front left) extends her gratitude for all that St. John’s Parish Church does for the youth. A special thank you to all the card writers and those who donated supplies. Please continue prayers for the youth that they will come to know Jesus. For more infomation visit: http://stjohnsparishchurch.com/news/st-john-s-parish-church-blesses-juveniles-with-jesus-bags |

Ushers
Ushers serve an important role in the life of St. John’s Parish Church on Sundays and other special services. They greet everyone as they enter the sanctuary, hand out prayer lists and other papers as needed. They also assist newcomers to find their way — whether to find a place to sit, locate the nursery or direct someone to the restroom. During the service, ushers collect the offering and present it at the altar. When it is time to receive communion, they help the congregation know the proper time to come forward, and they count the attendance. |

A Prayer for our Parish
Dear Heavenly Father, Together we are united with the saints of the household of God; built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, with Jesus Christ himself being the cornerstone. In Christ alone our church is being joined together, and is growing into a holy temple of the Lord by the Spirit. By Your wisdom may we discern what You want us to build; Through Jesus Christ our Lord and the power of the Holy Spirit, Amen. |
