A Big Thank You from Fr. Jeremy
3 I thank my God in all my remembrance of you, 4 always in every prayer of mine for you all making my prayer with joy, 5 because of your partnership in the gospel from the first day until now. 6 And I am sure of this, that he who began a good work in you will bring it to completion at the day of Jesus Christ. 7 It is right for me to feel this way about you all, because I hold you in my heart, for you are all partakers with me of grace. -- Philippians 1:3-7
What an honor, privilege, blessing and surprise I had on Sunday morning! Thank you is not enough to this amazing congregation of faithful people. Jessica, the boys, and I are humbled to be a part of the Lord's work here at St. John's Parish Church, Johns Island, and beyond.
I sat down at the dining room table on Sunday afternoon to open and read all of the cards, messages, and gifts from so many of the congregation. It took more than 30 minutes to open all the cards!
I am truly blessed and encouraged by each of you. May the unity of Jesus Christ by the power of the Holy Spirit continue to draw us together in worship, fellowship, and Kingdom building!
In Christ,
Fr. Jeremy+

We received a request for Bibles from Kay Kitchen's grandson, Leslie, who lives in Kingsport TN. Hurricane Helene destroyed or washed away many Bibles, and the people of Kingsport are asking for replacements. Leslie is working with the Cowboys of Hope to collect Bibles, new or used, to hand out. We will be collecting Bibles this Sunday in the Connection Corridor or at Resurrection Hall during the week. Contact Sally if you'd like to order and send Bibles directly to Leslie. A Prayer for our Parish
Dear Heavenly Father, Together we are united with the saints of the household of God; built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, with Jesus Christ himself being the cornerstone. In Christ alone our church is being joined together, and is growing into a holy temple of the Lord by the Spirit. By Your wisdom may we discern what You want us to build; Through Jesus Christ our Lord and the power of the Holy Spirit, Amen. |
